Mini-Short film fest & B-Movies Sit-In@ Bankstown Arts Centre

BYDS at The Bankstown Arts Centre
5 Olympic Parade
Bankstown, New South Wales

Hot Bread Shop (2011) – Maria Tran

Rima (2009) – Zayaan Jappie
Rima is a young Muslim-Australian woman who wears the veil. Her biggest passion is cars – fast cars that look good!

The Tech Effect (2011) – Vinh Nguyen
An instructional video on how technology is getting in the way of face-to-face communication.

Mary (2009) – Fatima Mawas
When a new neighbour moves in next-door, Samantha’s curiosity is aroused sending her on a mission of espionage.

Sosefina (2010) – Tresa Ponnor
Sosefina escapes her big, loud, annoying Samoan family and their rundown house to spend the day in a display home instead of going to school.

Reflective City State (2011) – Hung Doan Tran
A beautiful motion graphics work by one of our gifted local Bankstown digital artists.

B-Movies would like to especially thank the wonderful Gary Paramanathan of Colourfest and ICE for generously providing us with support and today’s films. We also give thanks, love and big ups to all the featured filmmakers for permission to screen their work.
